Is my timing belt due at five years?

Five years applies to some engines. The right interval depends on the manufacturer’s schedule for your engine, often with both an age limit and a mileage limit. We can look up which comes first for your car and help you plan the replacement.

Some engines use a timing chain instead. Chains have different maintenance requirements, so we’ll confirm what’s fitted and what the manufacturer recommends. We can check this alongside your annual service.

When should I have the clutch checked?

If engine revs rise while the car struggles to pick up speed, the clutch may be slipping. Difficulty selecting gears can have several causes. We can investigate either symptom and explain the repair options.
